The Genesis of jiroyoga:
A Journey Back to Self
How a deep love for mindful living gave birth to a global movement for sustainable practice.
Our Story
My name is Yogesh Kumar. When I was in school, I once experienced severe stomach pain. It was so intense that I felt like I might die. My mother immediately took me to the hospital, where the doctor gave me an injection and I recovered. But at that time, the hospital charged my mother ₹2000 — a very large amount for my family.
That incident changed the way I thought about health and life. I realized that if such a small illness could create so much fear and difficulty, then serious diseases like heart problems, kidney disease, or liver issues could completely destroy a person’s life and deeply hurt their family.
From that day onward, I started searching for ways to live a healthy life. During this journey, a kind person guided me and said: “Practice yoga, follow a healthy lifestyle, and eat pure, unadulterated food.”
That advice became the beginning of my yoga journey. I started practicing yoga regularly and slowly began learning more about health, wellness, and natural living. Even today, I continue to learn and grow through yoga.
As people around me became more health-conscious, many started asking: “Where can we find truly pure food products?” Because the reality is that food adulteration has become very common in India.
I traveled to many villages in search of authentic and traditional food. During my journey, I discovered something important — small village producers who make products in limited quantities with honesty usually do not adulterate their goods. Most adulteration is done by large corporations and people who only focus on maximizing profits, often at the cost of people’s health and lives.
That is when I decided to create a platform that directly connects people with pure products from villages — products like desi ghee, oils, and other healthy food items.
Today, every product we sell is carefully selected to ensure it is pure and free from adulteration.
Because I have personally experienced the pain and fear that poor health can bring, I do not want others to go through the same suffering. My mission is simple: to help families choose healthier products, give their children a better lifestyle, encourage yoga, meditation, and physical activity, and inspire people to live naturally and happily.
I hope you will support me in this mission and become a part of this journey toward a healthier and purer life.
